About the Position

The IT organization of The Holdsworth Center is responsible for managing the IT infrastructure and cybersecurity for The Holdsworth Center and The Campus on Lake Austin. . The Infrastructure and Cybersecurity, Sr. Manager has specific responsibility for building, configuring, maintaining, enhancing, and eventually decommissioning our infrastructure and cybersecurity platforms. This role reports directly to the Director of IT.

The Infrastructure and Cybersecurity, Sr. Manager will be responsible for Holdsworth’s portfolio of enterprise infrastructure and cybersecurity platforms utilized by 125+ end-users at the organization. This position requires an individual with a strong technical background, as well as an ability to work with cross-functional teams to align priorities and plans with key business objectives. The Infrastructure and Cybersecurity, Sr. Manager provides strategic direction for the organization’s technical infrastructure and security (including hardware, software, servers, databases, storage solutions, networks, audiovisual equipment or physical facilities) in support of critical organizational business needs.

Along with working in the capacity of the role, the Business Applications Lead will engage alongside Holdsworth staff in leadership development activities and training including but not limited to equity work.

Responsibilities

Leadership and Management

The Infrastructure and Cybersecurity, Sr. Manager will oversee all activities that optimize the value, cost, and risk of our infrastructure and cybersecurity platforms:

  • Provide infrastructure and cybersecurity leadership, vision, and direction to the organization to ensure it will contribute to the company achieving its goals.
  • Develop productive relationships with business leaders across the organization to influence how infrastructure and cybersecurity can protect the organization from threat actors.
  • Manage relationships with major vendors and service providers to ensure they cost-effectively meet the needs of the organization.

Infrastructure Management

Infrastructure and Cybersecurity, Sr. Manager will be primarily responsible for managing and operating Holdsworth’s IT infrastructure:

  • Oversee the design, implementation, and management of the organization's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and data storage.
  • Ensure high availability, scalability, and performance of infrastructure to meet business requirements.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure issues, coordinating with relevant teams to resolve problems efficiently.
  • Implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
  • Ensures the consistency, reliability and performance of networking and telecommunications equipment throughout campus.
  • Provide technical guidance for IT Infrastructure operations and projects, including hands-on collaboration with team members on best practices, implementation, testing, and problem resolution.
  • Lead infrastructure initiatives with overall responsibility for the planning, deployment, maintenance, security, and support of infrastructure equipment, systems, and services.
  • Participate in the planning, installation, and configuration of virtual and/or physical servers, redundancy, and backup strategies.
  • Ensure that the network and IT infrastructure is routinely monitored, maintained, and updated with recent security patches.
  • Plan, document, and communicate regular maintenance schedules on all infrastructure.
  • Manage and document IT infrastructure disaster recovery plan, including network and server topology, data centers, storage and backups, telecommunications, and related physical technology infrastructure.
  • Manage procurement and vendor relationships.

Cybersecurity Management

The Infrastructure and Cybersecurity, Sr. Manager will be primarily responsible for managing Holdsworth’s cybersecurity platforms and applications:

  • Architect technical solutions to support security initiatives, identify, assess, and monitor security vulnerabilities, develop, and implement information security policies, standards, strategies and processes to mitigate and prevent threats to the computing environment.
  • Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability assessments to identify security gaps and potential threats.
  • Lead efforts to protect the organization from cyber threats, malware, and data breaches.
  • Establish and manage access control, authentication, and encryption protocols.
  • Stay updated on security trends and best practices to ensure a proactive security posture.
  • Monitor cybersecurity platforms for threat intelligence and incident response.
  • Develop and maintain an incident response plan and lead response efforts in the event of a security breach or incident.
  • Conduct post-incident analysis to improve security measures.

Desirable candidates will have a range of prior experience and capabilities to include:

  • An undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field. You may substitute 5 years of work experience for 1 year of Bachelor’s level education.
  • 5+ years of experience configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting multiple technologies and platforms, including:
  • Networking and Data Center Infrastructure - firewalls, wireless controllers, wireless access points and hyperconverged systems (Palo Alto, Eaton, HPE, IntelePeer, Meraki, Veeam, VMWare).
  • Cybersecurity - Intrusion Detection Software (IDS), Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), Vulnerability Scanning and Management, DNS security, email security.
  • Data Center Applications - Windows Server 2008/2012/R2/2016/2019, Microsoft Entra ID (Azure Active Directory), SAML, SSO authentication, DNS/DHCP, Data Center Monitoring.
  • 5+ years of experience supervising IT projects.
  • Strong analytical, data processing, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills are needed to collaborate, and effectively influence internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to occasionally work after-hours and weekends to complete required system maintenance.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary Range: $140,000 - $150,000

Purpose & Responsibilities

The Development Coordinator, reporting to the Development Manager, will play a critical role in supporting our growing development efforts, supporting the management of our Salesforce CRM database, supporting logistics for special events, and assisting with donor stewardship. The Development Coordinator will also play a key role in prospect management and research in support of fundraising growth and sustainability.

About the Position:

  • In partnership with the Development and IT teams, oversee and manage the fundraising portion of Salesforce CRM to support reporting, appeals, events, and major gift fundraising.
  • Perform key database functions, including data management, data entry and cleaning, moves management/proposal calendaring, research, and reporting.
  • Support annual fundraising strategies, including annual appeals, giving circles, and events, by developing strong processes, reporting, and engagement.
  • Become the Development team’s CRM ‘superuser’ by thoroughly learning and understanding our Salesforce CRM, continuous learning on the job or externally, and documenting processes.
  • Utilizing project management software (Asana), develop detailed operational plans and enter/update tasks in projects to support annual fundraising and event planning.
  • Support logistics around regular donor cultivation/stewardship events, including friends group events, board and volunteer hosted events, etc.
  • Support the execution of stewardship initiatives aimed at sustaining and enhancing donor engagement, including the accurate and timely processing of donations, the proper recognition of sponsors and donors, and the review of gift policies to ensure consistent standards around gifts received.
  • Conduct monthly reconciliation with the finance department to ensure accurate tracking and reporting of donations, grants, and other revenue sources, maintaining meticulous records and resolving discrepancies promptly and efficiently.
  • Identify improvements in processes and workflow and support the design and implementation of new systems
  • Work with talented, mission-driven peers in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Qualifications:

  • Three to five years of relevant work experience in an office environment required
  • A deep understanding of donor management software, Salesforce a plus
  • Experience working in a non-profit or educational institution is a plus
  • A basic understanding of data analytics allows the Development Coordinator to extract valuable insights from donor data, aiding in strategic decision-making.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, expert skills in Excel a plus
  • Strong customer service and servant leadership skills
  • Organized and with a high attention to detail
  • Displays the ability to be proactive in working to resolve problems by using critical thinking skills
  • Excellent technical and interpersonal communication skills

We are seeking a Chief Operating Officer who shares a deep commitment to our mission and whose experience and vision will deepen our capacity and enhance our impact as we work to serve the 5.5M students educated in public school districts across the state of Texas.

You will work in close partnership with the President and alongside talented, mission driven peers in a fast paced, dynamic environment to:

  • Drive long-term organizational strategy and planning processes.
  • Lead the execution of 2-3 cross-functional priorities each year. In the short-term, priorities are likely to include a significant emphasis on how to leverage technology to advance the organization’s mission. Convene stakeholders, facilitate decision-making and change processes, and monitor and drive execution.
  • Support the President in building new and stewarding existing relationships with external stakeholders (fundraising, partnerships, brand-building).
  • Serve as an officer of the organization and as the staff liaison to the Board. Support the development of board agendas and ongoing board engagement.
  • Provide strategic counsel and recommendations to the President and other members of senior leadership. Work in close partnership with the President in order to be able to serve as her proxy in designated scenarios/areas.
  • Manage teams directly or indirectly to ensure the attainment of organizational goals.

About the Position:

  • Take ownership of the receptionist desk by greeting staff and visitors and professionally answering phone calls with a friendly, warm and helpful manner
  • Overseeing inbound/outbound delivery of mail and packages
  • Tracking office supply inventory and placing orders when needed
  • Ensure meetings spaces are setup, including A/V, for seamless execution of meetings
  • Align with team members to identify any additional meeting needs such as printing, meeting supplies, or coordination of meal deliveries.
  • Have a working knowledge of A/V systems to troubleshoot minor issues for team members
  • Operate and maintain standard office equipment on a regular basis, including copy machine, computer(s) and fax machine
  • Maintain the receptionist area, all common areas and office supply storage in a clean and tidy manner at all times to ensure ease of use for team members
  • Supports in managing the day-to-day operational, administrative and calendar activities of 1-2 senior staff.
  • Book travel arrangements 1-2 senior staff as assigned to include hotel stays, airfare and/or car rentals
  • Assist in managing short-term projects through current systems such as Asana
  • Identify improvements in processes, office organization, and workflow and design and implement new systems
  • Work with talented, mission-driven peers in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
  • A bachelor’s degree from a four year accredited college or university is desired
  • Three to five years of relevant work experience in an office environment required
  • Experience working in a non-profit or education institution a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong customer service and servant leadership skills
