About the Position

This full-time position works alongside Holdsworth Partner District teams to develop and implement high quality leadership development systems that enable a strong principal pipeline. Partnering with school leadership, human resource, and other central office and campus-based teams, District Support Consultants help districts to assess and address strengths and weaknesses in their systems for identifying, developing, placing, and supporting new principals in order to ensure every school is served by an excellent leader. Over the course of five years, our team works to ensure these systems are built, implemented, strengthened, and set up for ongoing success beyond the life of the Holdsworth Partnership.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess the current state of our partner-district’s principal pipeline through quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis of their leadership development systems
  • Support partner-district leaders in creating a compelling vision for the future state of specific leadership development systems, including measures of success, key behavioral changes, and requirements for sustainability
  • Develop and manage clear plans to transform and build high-quality systems for leadership development, including systems to identify high-potential future leaders, professional development for aspiring leaders, transparent and rigorous selection processes, effective onboarding, and sustainable distributed leadership in campus roles (e.g., teacher leaders and assistant principals)
  • Produce ready-to-use tools and detailed recommendations that demonstrate best practice in leadership development and lay the groundwork to achieve the district’s principal pipeline aspirations
  • Support key district leaders to implement, perform, and continue to iterate on systems to ensure sustainability and long-term success through rigorous project and change management

    • Effective meeting facilitation and design
    • Very strong written communication skills that can bring nuance and life to things like guiding documents, project plans, goals, parameters, etc., including comfort working in PowerPoint to communicate ideas and facilitate meetings.

Desired Qualifications

TStrong candidates for the District Support consultant role have a range of prior experiences and capabilities. As we seek to build a team with a diverse set of experiences and qualifications, we’re currently particularly looking for candidates with prior experience in the following areas:

  • Human Resources

  • Human capital consulting
  • Management consulting
  • Public education consulting
  • Experience in campus-level leadership preferred

Additional Responsibilities and Expectations

This is a full time, individual contributor role that may involve changing assignments with multiple districts over time. Weekly, in-state travel is required for meetings and convenings with our partner districts. Typical travel requirements include two to three per days per week of travel, including at least 1-2 overnights.

The Holdsworth Center is based in Austin, Texas. Candidates not residing in the Austin area will be required to travel to Austin for another 2-3 days per month for staff development and collaboration opportunities.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary Range: $100,000 to $110,000
  • Compensation for the role will depend on several factors, including but not limited, your qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience. The Holdsworth Center also factors internal pay equity in evaluating compensation.

About the Position

We are seeking a Multimedia Designer who shares a deep commitment to our mission and whose experience and vision will deepen our capacity and enhance our impact as we strive to serve public school districts across the state of Texas. The Multimedia Designer, reporting to the Sr. Manager, Digital Communications, will play a critical role in creating visually compelling and engaging print and digital collateral to primarily support The Holdsworth Center’s fundraising activities (80 percent time allocation) as well as other graphic design needs across the organization, both internal and external (20 percent time allocation). This position is based in Austin, Texas, with the opportunity to work from our beautiful Campus on Lake Austin at least three days a week.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and design a range of print and digital collateral primarily tailored to future and current donors
  • Manage deliverables against various time frames including quick turn and long-term projects that involve several months of development
  • Ensure projects are completed with attention to quality, detail and are on schedule
  • Adhere to established brand and messaging guidelines while also challenging our team to evolve them based on the context
  • Lead the presentation of ideas, mood boards, storyboards, and mockups of visual design projects and play a role in managing feedback and approvals

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with emphasis on graphic design, photography, and/or web design preferred
  • 4-5 years working with a creative team environment or design firm with a solid background in graphic design
  • Experience supporting fundraising or sales/marketing campaigns
  • Experience in branding, web design, typography, and print
  • Expertise in Adobe Creative Cloud: Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator
  • Familiarity in working with a wide range of media—including design, photography, and video
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Extremely detail oriented
  • Ability to think strategically and creatively, work well under pressure, and manage details of several concurrent projects.
  • Excellent project management skills; ability to establish priorities, manage time and meet deadlines

This position is based in Austin, Texas, with the opportunity to work from our beautiful Campus on Lake Austin at least three days a week.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, script, and execute video projects from concept to completion, ensuring high-quality visuals and storytelling.
  • Collaborate across teams to understand project goals and audience needs.
  • Translate complex ideas into visually engaging narratives aligned with a broader content strategy and messaging framework.
  • Manage deliverables against various budgets and time frames including quick turn and long-term projects that involve several months of development – may also include managing other outside video vendors, as needed.
  • Ensure projects are completed with attention to quality, detail and are on schedule
  • Adhere to established brand and messaging guidelines while also challenging our team to evolve them based on the context.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with emphasis on film studies, multimedia, visual communication or related field preferred
  • 4-5 years working with a creative team environment or video firm with a solid background in video production and editing
  • Portfolio showing completed film productions and editing work
  • Expertise in professional video editing software (i.e. Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro X)
  • Expertise in filming and sound recording using professional equipment
  • Extremely detail oriented
  • Ability to think strategically and creatively, work well under pressure, and manage details of several concurrent projects.

Purpose & Responsibilities

We are seeking a Chief Operating Officer who shares a deep commitment to our mission and whose experience and vision will deepen our capacity and enhance our impact as we work to serve the 5.5M students educated in public school districts across the state of Texas.

You will work in close partnership with the President and alongside talented, mission driven peers in a fast paced, dynamic environment to:

  • Drive long-term organizational strategy and planning processes.
  • Lead the execution of 2-3 cross-functional priorities each year. In the short-term, priorities are likely to include a significant emphasis on how to leverage technology to advance the organization’s mission. Convene stakeholders, facilitate decision-making and change processes, and monitor and drive execution.
  • Support the President in building new and stewarding existing relationships with external stakeholders (fundraising, partnerships, brand-building).
  • Serve as an officer of the organization and as the staff liaison to the Board. Support the development of board agendas and ongoing board engagement.
  • Provide strategic counsel and recommendations to the President and other members of senior leadership. Work in close partnership with the President in order to be able to serve as her proxy in designated scenarios/areas.
  • Manage teams directly or indirectly to ensure the attainment of organizational goals.
