Create ‘user manuals’ to foster inclusion in diverse teams

You’ve got a diverse team and are excited to work with them for a long time to come. For the team to gel quickly and perform at high levels, it’s important to create a sense of belonging.

How do you do achieve that?

Dive into this 30-minute mini course adapted from Holdsworth learning sessions and create a one-page “user manual” for yourself that can be shared with every person on your team.

When each of you have articulated who you are, what you care about, how you work and what you need to thrive, you deepen your team’s foundations of trust and belonging.

“User Manuals helped me find ways to use teammates’ strengths in ways I hadn’t in the past,” said Lena Neill, an office specialist in Arlington ISD. “They are now more invested in the process and feel confident in their contribution.”
