Alisha Taylor lives in Houston, Texas and is a proud graduate of Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia.

Most recently, Alisha worked as a national content specialist at Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, where she collaborated with school districts to increase student achievement in the areas of math, reading, science and social studies.

Her career in education began as a teacher in Georgia and Texas and spans K-12 grade levels. As a Kindergarten teacher, Alisha treasured seeing the world in its simplest form. From high school students, she learned the importance of each learning journey. Her blend of creativity and love of technology resulted in district and state awards for increasing student achievement.

In her spare time, Alisha enjoys embarking on DIY projects, spending time with family and friends and spoiling her two pups. Alisha is a planner at heart and recently launched an event coordinating business.

Alisha lives by her favorite quote by Marianne Williamson: “Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, ‘Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?’ Actually, who are you not to be?”
