Webinar: Conducting student interviews with Tradition Elementary

This webinar was recorded on Aug. 4, 2026 as part of Holdsworth’s Week of Learning, a three-part series for Texas educators heading into a new school year.

At Tradition Elementary in East Central ISD, the work started with listening. As part of Holdsworth’s Campus Leadership Program, Principal Karen Kopeck and her leadership team conducted empathy interviews, structured conversations designed to hear directly from students about their experience at school.

What students told them reshaped how the team understood its own campus and led to targeted changes that helped move Tradition from an F to a B rating. In this webinar, Kopeck and her team share how they ran the interviews, what they heard and what they did about it.
