Armando A. Perez, executive vice president for H-E-B Houston, leads the retailer’s nearly 29,000 H-E-B Houston-area Partners (employees) in delivering outstanding products and services under the H-E-B, Joe V’s Smart Shop, and Mi Tienda banners to customers throughout 101 stores in the region.

He has worked with H-E-B for 26 years, after receiving a bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas – Pan American. In addition, he has completed management programs at both Cornell and Harvard Universities.

Armando finds great value and importance in committing himself to roles that advance the Houston community, and he has served in numerous leadership positions demonstrating his passion. He most recently accepted the chairmanship of the United Way of Greater Houston after serving three years as a board member. He also currently sits on the Kinder Institute Advisory Board, is past chairman of the Houston Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, and a former member of the board of the Houston Food Bank and The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley Foundation.

Armando and his wife Corina have two children, Anyssa and Daniel.
