Guillermo (Memo) Treviño is the retired president of Southern Distributing a multi-brand beverage distributor based in Laredo, Texas. He currently serves on the Board of Rice University’s Baker Institute for Public Policy, Jones School of Business, Texas 2036, Laredo Learns, Gateway Community Health Center, and is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. He also sits on the advisory boards of OpenStax and the Rice 360 Institute for Global Health.

He served on the Board of Directors of BBVA Compass USA, Rice University, the San Antonio Branch of the Dallas Federal Reserve, the International Bank of Commerce and International Bancshares Corporation, and chaired the Board of the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles. He also served as president of the Laredo Boys and Girls Clubs, the Laredo Chamber of Commerce, the Laredo Development Foundation, and the Washington’s Birthday Celebration Association.

Treviño earned a BA from Rice University and received an Option II MBA from the University of Texas at Austin.
